Dance Around the World

This March we were immersed in Dance Around the World, a project we co-sponsored with Town Celebrations committee. Chaired by Elizabeth Hsu and Sudha Balasuryan, it was a great success. The dances, the costumes, the music had the crowd cheering each number.  At the end of the evening, many members of the audience got together to do a group dance. That finale brought all the groups together – no longer was it just CAL or KOLEX  - it was everyone!

"Thank you for including us in your wonderful event.  It was so inspiring to see all of the different dance styles, choreography, and glorious costumes.  In such a fractured world -  it was a delight to see how the arts can bring people together and bring out the best in each individual and group.  The joyous happiness of all of the dancers and audience members who enjoyed the final dance on the gym floor truly spoke to the humanitarian importance of dance.  Our students had a fantastic experience that they will always remember.

Your organization was outstanding and all of the volunteers were so friendly and inviting. Thank you again for inviting us to be part of this lovely experience!"

Best regards,
Mary Petersen - Director
